Acrylic Resin (Type AR)
The common characteristics of Acrylic-type coating includes:
- It dries at room temperature in minutes
- It has desirable electrical and physical properties
- It is fungus resistant
- It has a long pot life
- It also has a low or no exotherm during cure, which prevents damage to heat-sensitive components.
- It is easy to remove
- Dielectric withstands > 1500 Volts
- Its temperature range is -59C to 132C.
Urethane Resin or Polyurethane (Type UR)
The common characteristics of polyurethane-type coating includes:
- It is available in one part, two part, and water-borne
- It provides excellent humidity and chemical resistance, with outstanding dielectric properties for extended periods.
- It requires extended curing time, or baking in a recirculating oven
- It's temperature range is -59C to 132C
- Rework can be completed on small areas by burning through the coating with a soldering iron. However Arizona ProCoat LLC can remove coating perfectly.
Silicone Resin (Type SR)
The common characteristics of Silicone-type coating include:
- It is useful for high-temperature requirements, typically to 200C
- It provides high humidity and corrosion resistance, with good thermal endurance for high heat-dissipating components.
- It is susceptible to abrasion and has a high co-efficient of thermal expansion
- It is available in 100% solids heat-curing liquids, 100% solids moisture-curing liquids, 100% solids .
- Rework can be completed when chemical strippers are used for coating removal.
- It's temperature range is -65C to 200C
